Dacia Bigster: 100,000 Units Produced and a Stunning Success

The Romanian manufacturer Dacia has something to celebrate! In just one year, its large SUV, the Bigster, has managed to win over Europeans, surpassing the symbolic milestone of 100,000 units produced. An achievement that reflects an unbeatable quality/price ratio, but also hides a true strategy for conquering the SUV market.

A Promising Launch

Launched in January 2025, the Dacia Bigster quickly made its mark in the market. A year later, the manufacturer proudly announces that it has produced 100,000 units at its factory in Mioveni, Romania. This figure, much more than just a statistic, symbolizes consumer enthusiasm for this SUV with an atypical positioning.

Sales That Speak

According to figures provided by Dacia, no less than 67,573 units of the Bigster have found buyers in Europe, including 16,283 in France. This stunning success has allowed it to outpace well-established models such as the Renault Austral and the Volkswagen Tiguan. The reason? An unbeatable quality/price ratio, with a starting price set at €24,990, attracting both young families and thrill-seekers.

Equipment That Meets Expectations

This competitive price does not prevent the Bigster from shining with its equipment. From the entry-level model, you find alloy wheels, a digital instrument panel, and a 10.1-inch central screen. The icing on the cake: a range of driving aids that includes a rearview camera, cruise control, and hill start assist. For drivers looking to combine comfort and safety, the Bigster is a wise choice.

Diverse Engine Options

To satisfy all types of drivers, the Dacia Bigster offers a diverse range of engines. There is a Mild-hybrid-G 140 version, a hybrid-G 150 with all-wheel drive, and a hybrid 155 version that stands out for its popularity: it represents 65% of sales. Starting at €32,000, this version is the preferred choice of buyers. Dacia successfully combines performance and energy savings, a true asset at a time when ecology is at the heart of concerns.

A Collective Success

The success of the Bigster only reinforces that of the other models in the brand. The Sandero, still at the top of sales among individuals in Europe in 2025, and the Duster, which also maintains a coveted position in the market, both benefit from this dynamic. It is clear that Dacia has managed to create a solid ecosystem around its vehicles.

Dacia’s Future Projects

Building on its successes, Dacia does not intend to stop there. The manufacturer is preparing two new announcements for 2026: a lightweight electric vehicle in segment A, which should be inspired by the new Renault Twingo E-Tech, and a compact model in segment C equipped with hybrid and thermal engines. A true turning point for the brand that aims to establish itself as a key player in the energy transition.

Toward Even Greater Diversification

Finally, Dacia also plans to launch gasoline versions of the Duster and Bigster this year. These new offerings will allow the brand to reach an even broader clientele while maintaining its DNA focused on quality/price ratio. In short, Dacia seems well on its way to continue shaking up the automotive market.
