F1: Isack Hadjar Recounts Miami Trauma, Eyes Redemption in Canada

French driver Isack Hadjar is still processing a chaotic weekend in Miami. A costly race incident left him immensely frustrated, a weight he carries heading into the Canadian Grand Prix. He now hopes to move forward, armed with lessons learned from his mistakes.

Isack Hadjar’s return to the track is shaping up to be a redemption arc. After a lengthy break since the Miami Grand Prix, the young French driver still feels the sting of a Florida weekend he’d rather forget. He was forced to start the race from the pit lane after a technical infringement on his car sidelined him from the main qualifying session.

Determined to overcome a performance deficit he struggled to explain compared to his teammate, Hadjar approached the start with a fierce will to climb the order. Unfortunately, his momentum was shattered on the fourth lap in the Turn 14-15 chicane. A misjudgment, an unfortunate brush with the inside wall, and his front-left suspension gave out. Sent into the outer barrier exiting the corner, the damage to his Red Bull was significant, sealing his retirement and a palpable frustration, audible over the radio and visible in his driving.
