Christian Ach Takes the Helm in China

Christian Ach, currently responsible for market operations in Germany, will assume the role of President and CEO of the BMW Group’s China region starting April 1, 2026. This key position will see him manage a variety of market activities in one of the company’s most crucial regions. Ach’s career at BMW began in 1998 at the Munich sales branch, and he has since held various positions within the sales organization. Notably, he managed MINI in Germany from 2010 to 2018 and led BMW sales in Germany from 2018 to 2021. Since then, he has been responsible for the Northern Europe sales region.

Tim Beltermann Succeeds Ach

Effective April 1, Ach will be succeeded by Tim Beltermann, who is currently the Head of BMW Sales to End Customers in the German market. Beltermann has been with BMW for over two decades, gaining extensive experience across various roles, including those in BMW branches, BMW Bank, and Alphabet. Since 2019, he has managed sales to end customers and has played a key role in developing the distribution network.

Maru Escobedo Promoted to CEO for Latin America

Maru Escobedo, the current President and CEO of BMW Group Brazil, will move to the position of President and CEO of the Latin America region starting March 1, 2026. Escobedo has significant experience in sales operations, having previously managed the Mexican market. She takes over from Reiner Braun, who is set to begin a new role in March 2026 after a notable career within the BMW Group, including leadership positions in Canada, China, and the Middle East.

The New Role of Sean Green

Sean Green, the current President and CEO of the BMW Group’s China region, will assume a new important position within the company after more than a decade of service in the Chinese market.

Management Statements

Jochen Goller, a member of the Board of Management responsible for Customers, Brands, Sales, expressed gratitude to Sean Green for his dedicated contributions to the Chinese market. Goller stated: “Under Christian’s leadership, the German market has performed very well… I firmly believe that Christian will make a decisive contribution to the Chinese market.” This underscores BMW’s commitment to enhancing its global sales strategy through experienced leadership.
