The BMW Open by Bitpanda, running from 11 to 19 April at MTTC Iphitos, boasts an impressive line-up, featuring seven players from the top 20 of the ATP rankings. Defending champion Alexander Zverev (GER) is seeking his fourth title, while notable competitors include Ben Shelton (USA) and Alexander Bublik (KAZ).

All-Electric BMW iX3 for the Champion
The winner of this prestigious ATP 500 tournament will drive away in the all-electric BMW iX3 50 xDrive. This model is the inaugural vehicle from BMW’s Neue Klasse, showcasing energy consumption figures ranging from 15.1 to 17.9 kWh/100 km and producing zero CO₂ emissions. With a battery range of up to 805 kilometres and rapid charging capabilities of up to 400 kW, the iX3 sets a new standard for electric performance.
FUTURE ACES Initiative Continues
In its second season, the FUTURE ACES initiative aims to support disadvantaged youths through tennis. For every ace scored during the tournament, BMW will donate a coaching lesson, allowing participants to engage with the sport and develop their skills. Over the past year, six young individuals have benefited from this programme, gaining access to regular coaching and club activities.

The singles competition features not only Zverev but also rising stars such as Joao Fonseca from Brazil and established names like Stefanos Tsitsipas. The doubles draw includes top seeds Kevin Krawietz and Tim Pütz alongside former champions Alexander Erler and Lucas Miedler.
Allianz Para Trophy Highlighted
Running concurrently with the BMW Open is the Allianz Para Trophy, showcasing wheelchair tennis talent. This year marks its upgrade to a 500-category tournament, introducing a “Quad Division” for athletes with disabilities affecting multiple limbs. World number one Niels Vink headlines a strong field competing for honours in Munich.
