Introduction to the Spring 2026 Range of BMW
Munich. As spring 2026 approaches, BMW is set to refresh its model lineup with significant updates, particularly in electric driving technology. The fully electric BMW iX1 and iX2 will benefit from new power electronics aimed at improving efficiency and extending their range. Additionally, the BMW 1 Series and 2 Series Gran Coupe will now come standard with dual-zone automatic climate control, and all models will feature a redesigned BMW emblem on the hood.
Improved Range for the BMW iX1 and iX2
The BMW iX1 eDrive20 now offers improved energy consumption figures of 16.1–16.0 kWh/100 km, with CO2 emissions at a commendable level of 0 g/km, placing it in the CO2 class A. The xDrive30 variant will offer similar benefits, with energy consumption rated at 17.2–17.1 kWh/100 km and the same zero emissions. Thanks to the introduction of silicon carbide (SiC) components in their power electronics, both models see their range increase by about 40 km, now reaching up to 514 km and 466 km respectively.
The BMW iX2 eDrive20 and xDrive30 will also adopt this technology, achieving energy consumption figures of 15.7–15.6 kWh/100 km and 16.7–16.5 kWh/100 km, respectively, with corresponding ranges of 512 km and 477 km.
BMW iX3: Faster Charging and New Color Options
The BMW iX3 (iX3 50 xDrive) will offer a new Professional AC charging option, allowing charging of up to 22 kW. This model can also serve as a mobile power bank, providing external devices with up to 3.7 kW of power. In addition to this feature, three new exterior colors—Eucalyptus Green metallic, BMW Individual Frozen Space Silver metallic, and Fire Red metallic—will be introduced in spring 2026. Inside, a new Digital White steering wheel option will complement the BMW Contemporary Digital White two-tone interior, while stainless steel loading sills will be included in several interior design packages.
BMW M5 and XM Label: Preparing for Euro 7 Standards
With the new Euro 7 emissions regulations set to take effect in 2027, BMW M is proactively updating its high-performance models. The BMW M5 and XM Label will receive technical enhancements starting in March and April 2026, respectively. The focus will be on optimizing the internal combustion engine of the M Hybrid system through better engine control, improved exhaust gas treatment, and the introduction of the Miller combustion process. The power of the V8 engine in the M5 will be adjusted from 430 kW (585 hp) to 400 kW (544 hp), while maintaining a combined system power of 535 kW (727 hp). This ensures continued high performance while meeting future environmental requirements.
The BMW XM Label will retain its power of 550 kW (748 hp) while benefiting from similar efficiency improvements.
Standard Equipment for the BMW 1 Series and 2 Series Gran Coupe
Starting in spring 2026, the BMW 1 Series and 2 Series Gran Coupe will be equipped with dual-zone automatic climate control as standard. Additionally, the BMW Individual Tanzanite Blue metallic exterior color will be available with an optional black roof. The BMW 1 Series equipped with the M Sport package and the M135 xDrive will also be available with the new Cape York Green metallic finish.
Sporting Enhancements for the BMW 4 Series
The BMW 4 Series Coupe, Convertible, and Gran Coupe will be available with optional M Carbon mirror caps when equipped with the M Sport package. Note that this upgrade does not apply to BMW 4 Series M Performance models, which have dedicated mirror caps as part of their specific M Carbon package.
Plus Tire Repair Kit: A Practical Addition
Starting in spring 2026, the Plus Tire Repair Kit will be included as standard in various BMW models. This kit provides quick and reliable assistance in the event of a flat tire, enhancing convenience for drivers. Models such as the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer plug-in hybrid, the BMW 5 Series Sedan (depending on wheel choice), the BMW X3, the BMW 7 Series, the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe, and the BMW iX will benefit from this useful addition.
New BMW Emblem Unveiled
